This makes me think of the phrase "carpe diem", but rather than sieze the day it is sieze the moment. There have been many moments where I have, perhaps attempting to be appropriate or politically correct, held back my feelings or the way I would have expressed myself, not only with my significant other but also with family and friends. How different would our friendships and families be if we told our family that we cared about them. If we reacted on impulse and hugged them. It seems so inappropriate to touch or hug or tell someone that you're not romantically involved with that you love them. This may not be what the author was intending with her statement, but this is what it made me think about. Just food for thought.....
